CONCORD, CA – After 19 years of dedicated volunteer service to the children of Contra Costa County, the local leadership
behind the region’s free youth guitar programs has announced the launch of a new independent charity: Guitars ’n’ Kids.
WHAT: Guitars ’n’ Kids Relaunch & Fundraiser (Live Music, 21+)
MUSIC: Ms. Reese & Her Pieces; Delta Deuce, The Breedloves & Friends, Brooks Lundy (solo)
WHEN: Saturday, August 1, 2026 | 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM
WHERE: Vinnies Bar & Grill , 2045 Mt. Diablo Street, Concord, CA
COST: $10.00 suggested door donations encouraged – silent auctions

Live Entertainment:
MISS REESE & HER PIECES: Miss Reese & Her Pieces is an 8 piece authentic blues band with a little bit of rock and
soul thrown into the mix. Powerful vocals and dynamic musicianship are key factors in this band’s performance.
DELTA DEUCE: A classic rock and blues cover band based in Walnut Creek, California, performing throughout the greater
San Francisco Bay Area, featuring co-founder, Scott Anderson on Guitar and vocals, along with other very well seasoned
musicians.
THE BREEDLOVES & FRIENDS: Jay Kirkland (guitar/ukulele), Barbara Gorin (vocals/rhythm guitar) and Danny Cronin
on bass and Pep Salinas on drums. They are a band that’s redefining the genre with their unique blend of powerful rock
rhythms and the unexpected, yet captivating, sounds of the ukulele. With their original compositions, they draw
influences from flamenco, jazz, and blues. The Breedloves & Friends are set to prove that the ukulele has a place in
rock and roll.
BROOKS LUNDY (Solo): Brooks Lundy is an acclaimed Bay Area multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and educator renowned for
his exceptional musicianship and studio work on the hit Guitar Hero video game series. While widely known for fronting
premier rock and tribute bands, his solo acoustic performances deliver an intimate, high-energy showcase of masterclass
guitar techniques, commanding vocals, and engaging storytelling.
The important fundraiser will allow the charity to purchase new guitars, gig bags, and printing costs for instructional
materials to resume classes immediately. Community members are invited to attend the event at Vinnies or donate online
to support the mission of offering a positive alternative to violence through the power of music.
About Guitars ’n’ Kids: Guitars ’n’ Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing free guitars and music lessons to
youth in our community (ages 8–18) in Contra Costa County. Founded by veteran volunteers, the organization focuses on
